Family visits

Adults and children can be seen the same day, each with their own exam and written estimate.

A parent or guardian stays with a child at every visit. Your doctor explains the care to the parent first and to the child in plain words.

What to expect

  • What a visit includes

Each person has a talk, an exam and, only if their doctor recommends it, an adjustment suited to their age and size.

    • Each person's own written estimate

    • Booked back to back where we can

    • An itemized receipt for each person

  • How long and how often

Your doctor sets a plan for each person after their exam. We do not promise a number of visits.

  • What we do not claim

We make no claims about conditions in children or about pregnancy. Care is for the person in front of the doctor, after an exam.

  • See a physician first

Talk with your child's pediatrician before booking if your child has a fever or has had a fall. If you are pregnant, check with your obstetrician or midwife first.

  • Each family member has their own written estimate. A second adult and each child have their own first-visit fee, and your doctor tells you the cost before care begins.

  • What you take home

A separate itemized receipt for each person, so each can go to the right account.

Questions about this care

Can I bring my child or come while pregnant?

Yes, after an exam, and your doctor explains what the care is and what its risks are. A parent or guardian stays with a child at every visit. If you are pregnant, tell us when you book and check with your obstetrician or midwife first. We make no claims about conditions in children or about pregnancy.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Every kind of care has risks. Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually short. Rare serious problems have been reported after neck adjustments, so your doctor explains the risks before any neck adjustment, and you can say no to any part of a visit. If you have a sudden severe headache or neck pain, new weakness or numbness, chest pain, or loss of bladder or bowel control, call 911 or see a physician first.

How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. The exam and your goals decide it, and we do not promise a number of visits. You can stop at any time.

  • A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
